online multiplayer gaming for vintage games
retropia.org is an initiative to extend and improve the multiplayer experience for games of the past.
Version 1.0 featured:
- a multi-region network of servers for console emulator "netplay"
- a peer-to-peer VPN for Windows games
- an IPX-over-IP tunnel for DOS games
- several dedicated PC game servers
Version 2.0 will reboot with infrastructure supporting the Sony PlayStation 2.
